In the midst of reform, how do we engage students in learning? Place based education is a means of connecting students to their community and school. This presentation provides you with ideas of how you can engage your students in place - and shares ideas of lessons done in the classroom such as creating oral history books for the school library, creating an edible gardening or through virtual field trips.
