PLTW and STEM: Getting Students Engaged through Project-Based Activities

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session will focus on one or several parts of some K-2 Project Lead the Way (PLTW) lessons where the audience will participate as the students while interacting with the curriculum. We will connect to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), engage each member to question and share ideas, and promote hands-on learning through PLTW-based activities. This presentation will follow portions of different PLTW lessons to demonstrate their effectiveness in engaging the students. We want each of our students to know they are all learning to be engineers! The goal of this presentation is to see the possibilities of a project-based learning approach to STEM for students of all ages, especially early elementary students.
